About Zone 9

The Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) is made up of Trustees representing different zones.  Mutchmor Public School falls into Zone 9 and our current trustee is Rob Campbell.  Rob hosts regular meetings with representatives from school councils for the schools in his zone.   Your Zone 9 representatives are Barbara Massey and Cindy Kirk.  You may contact them at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. March 29th, 2010 meeting:
On March 29th, 2010, the OCDSB Trustee for Zone 9, Rob Campbell, hosted a meeting for school council representatives with Mike Carson, the Superintendant of Facilities, OCDSB.  The purpose of the meeting was to have Mike Carson outline the challenges facing the downtown core and Zone 9 schools  -  some schools are over capacity while others are less full. This situation will be further complicated by the pending implementation of Full Day Learning for all kindergarten students and the need to find space to accommodate this program in all schools.  This lays the foundation for an accommodation review which will likely be announced for our area for 2010/2011.  You will find Rob Campbell's notes of the meeting including the questions posed to schools by Mike Carson here and the written response provided by Mutchmor council representatives here.

Mutchmor Survey

Early in March 2010, Mutchmor School Council ran an online survey for parents to ensure that Mutchmor Council represents  parents’ views to the Board accurately. The survey questions were framed to gain greater understanding of why parents chose Mutchmor for their children, what programs they value, and what they would like to see in the future at the school.

The responses represented 46% of the student population and gave us clear insight  into what parents like and what they want. We will take those results into discussions with Zone 9 representatives and School Board officials. The survey results can be found at Survey Results 2010
