About the Council

E-mail Print
The Mutchmor Public School Council is an advisory body to the school and to the Ottawa Carleton District School Board, and is made up of volunteers from the school community.

The Council is dedicated to strengthening educational opportunities, enhancing the school environment, and developing partnerships with the community. The Council focuses on supporting a safe and caring learning environment that empowers students to be life-long learners who strive for excellence in a changing world.

School Council is a fantastic way to get tapped into the school community. Being an active member opens the door to countless opportunities and enrichment for our children. School Council hopes all parents will share their ideas and their time to keep our great programs and initiatives alive. All Parents are welcome!

Studies show that there is a positive relationship between family involvement and student success, regardless of race/ethnicity, class, or parents’ level of education. When families are involved in their children’s learning, their children do better in school. We welcome participation of all types!

All meetings are on the fourth Monday of the month at 7pm in the computer lab. Come out and participate!
